deejay t-jr. (“tee-junior”) is a DJ and turntablist based out of Toronto, Canada. She began her DJ journey in 2010, mainly as a music enthusiast and skratch DJ interested in the world of turntablism. Eventually, and inevitably, she took her love for music to the mainstream and found the best of both worlds performing for live audiences, where she was able to showcase her prowess of incorporating the extensive and varied technical skillset she possesses in each of her live sets.
She is renowned for her expertise in the genre of Hip Hop – both Old-school and New. Her comprehensive knowledge of the music she delves into provides the insights needed to seamlessly cross a multitude of genres, including R&B, Reggae and Dancehall, Latin, Afrobeats, Pop and Top 40, Deep House, Funk, and Classic Rock.
Experienced performing for diverse audiences in a variety of settings, such as high-end restaurants, exclusive lounges, nightclubs, and corporate events; t-jr. displays her well-rounded unique DJ style tapping into, and combining seamlessly, the many domains of DJing into each performance.
Her mastery has seen her tapped to showcase her talents alongside high-caliber Toronto talent; including, Skratch Bastid, Hedspin, and Trapment while also an active competitor in the DMC Canada DJ Battle Competitions.
t-jr.‘s passion for music, her dedication to her craft, and the art of DJing as a whole are the foundational elements of her ability to successfully cater to all client and crowd types – while also providing a memorable musical experience far beyond what music provides on its own.
